Dear Hazel -
I have the afternoon off and am writing a few letters so I will answer the one I got from you yesterday. I was tickled to get it as I had not heard from you for nearly three weeks in fact the last one you wrote was on April 23rd and yesterdays May 10th. I was beginning to think that you had forgotten me altogether. Anyway I was delighted to hear from you at last. I think you mentioned that perhaps your letters weren't as loving as they might be as you have had no experience along that line. I am rather glad in a way that you haven't but of course I have absolutely no right to be that way.
We are still in England and today is the first of June. You remember the posters they used to have displayed in Canada "Daddy what did you do in the great war."
