2 Squadron, A E. M. Entry 178 T.T.S.. St. Thomas, Ontario.

October 1, 1943

Dear Mom,

We had a swell trip to St. Thomas in special cars so we got quite a bit of sleep. It was really great to see some of the countryside, but since most of the trip was at night, we missed most of the scenery.

This is quite a place- very modem, a lot like a hotel. I'm quite tired so I'll not write any more, now. I can't seem to find my green-handled shaving brush- if it's at home, send it to me, and send my ice skates. By November there should be some skating, and I don't want to be without them.

It's good that you found my watchat home. Send it to me, and I'll return Art's, which, as you know, I have been wearing on loan. Enclosed are a few tickets from Montreal- keep them for me until I get home.

Love Lewis.
