It rained pretty near all morning. Tom & I finished the Ford at 10 this morning. After dinner Girty & I went for a ride down to Hammond's & then around the Boston Flats & up to Gibsons we had a fine time. I got back hom at 7 p.m.

5 Wednesday

It was over to Parks this morning & borrowed George's horse Miss Ried & I went for a ride this afternoon. John went in to town & brought home Papa. Duck's two stores & Earny Yapps house at Cache Creek burnt down this morning.
