Dear Dad:
Good old country up here. We are right on Cromarty Firth as you can see by the map. Inverness is the best spot for a Saturday night.
We can also pretend to look for the monster in Loch Ness when not doing more serious things.
The mountains - at the least the higher ones - especially Ben Wyves (3,429 ft.) are covered in snow. I see that Ben stands for mountain in Scotland - so you see the education is progressing in orderly fashion.
Censored…
The Canadians I have met over here in battle dress seem a very nice lot - quiet and cheerful - not nearly as noisy and pushing as the last War - so I hear on every side - still, give 'em time!
It is impossible to write a decent letter - no news of any sort. Glad to hear Dad has had enough sense to buy a heater for his car. Shades of Red Deer.
Even my pursuit ship has central heating.
Love
Bill
