Dear Mother and Dad,

My letters are few and far between, but you will have to bear with it.
I have sent you copies of the Mirror, Telegraph, etc., telling of a successful raid on a large gun emplacement at Calais. In fact this raid was led by a young Canadian and he was escorted by Hurricane Fighters, but read all about it in the paper. He used to live at 1608.
Admiral Bell Davies V.C. etc., who is in charge of Naval Air Stations, flew over to congratulate us and shake the hand. In fact everybody was pleased.
How is everyone at home? I'll bet Ronny is some lad now. Has Jean graduated yet?
The weather in Calgary should be grand now - and no doubt a new garden is beginning to show forth.
I hope Dad's car is in excellent running order and that there is enough twine to carry on with. (In this line things don't look too bright.)
Well I'm looking forward to seeing you all again soon?

Best of luck

Love

Bill
