Argonaut Rowing Club, Toronto.
May 12, 1916.

My dear Mr. Platt:

On behalf of the Argonaut Rowing Club, permit me to extend to you and yours, our deepest sympathy.

We all knew Errol so well - those who knew him best loved him most.

He was always one of those quiet sincere types - an ideal young man, and you will always have comfort in remembering his many sterling qualities - "and no man has died with more glory: yet many died and there was much glory."

May these few feeble words from the Argonauts cheer and comfort you in your dark hour Mr. Platt - his glorious death adds fulness to those fine lines:
"0 sweet the brave who sink to rest
By all their Country’s wishes blest".

Sincerely,
James W. Barry.
