HOW TO FIGURE YOUR TRATUITY

BASIC GRATUITY

A - How many months have you served in the Army in Canada? …..
Multiply this by $7.50 (see table)…..$

B - How many months have you served Overseas?.....
Multiply this by $15.00 (see table)…..$

SPECIAL GRANT
For each SIX MONTHS you have been Overseas you will receive 7 days pay, dependent’s allowance if you are drawing at, and subsistence allowance of $1.25 per day

YOUR RE-ESTABLISHMENT CREDIT “D” may be claimed anytime up to 10 years alter discharge in the following way:-

You put up $1.00 of your own money and the Government will match it with $2.00 until the whole credit is used up for the following purposes (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY IT BACK)
(1) To build, repair or improve your home.
(2) To buy furniture or household equipment.
(3) To buy a business, get yourself up in business, or as capital for your present business.
(4) To buy tools of your trade (you do NOT have to put up any money in this case).
(5) To buy Veteran’s Life Insurance (you do NOT have to put up any money in this case.)
(6) For any other purpose approved by the Governor in Council.
Submit your claim to the Veteran’s Welfare Officer.
